COVID-19 is a new illness that has recently come to light, caused by a virus called the coronavirus. It causes respiratory symptoms, affecting both your lungs and airways. If you have the following symptoms, you must stay at home and self-isolate: a high temperature, a new, yet continuous cough or shortness of breath.
The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) have currently stopped all theory tests and practical tests from going ahead. Those that have any of these booked will have their tests rebooked free of charge, regardless of how short notice it is. However, presently there is no confirmation as to when they will be rebooked for. If you have a theory or practical driving test booked and you are waiting on any news regarding whether they will go ahead, please get in contact with the DVSA team.
In regards to driving lessons, Fast Pass Driving School Burton is still going ahead with all driving lessons, unless the pupil is under self-isolation. Our driving instructors are taking the necessary measures to ensure that they can still provide you with a safe service. Before and after each driving lesson, the steering wheel, gear stick and door handles are wiped down with disinfectant wipes as well as the driving instructors taking relevant hygiene measures to ensure they themselves are safe.
If you show any of the above symptoms of coronavirus, or have been advised to self-isolate due to being in close proximity of someone who has, then please let your driving instructor know that you will not be continuing with your driving lessons. Otherwise, there is no
reason as to why you cannot continue to take your driving lessons as usual. If you have any concerns, then please get in contact with your Fast Pass driving instructor or the team in the Fast Pass office.
